<p>An Islamic State (IS) terrorist took a selfie with the ISIS headquarters building in Syria in the backdrop, and the centre was bombed in less than 24 hours by the US Air Force.<br />
 <br />
The location was tracked down using the selfie as a reference point, The Times of Israel reported.<br />
 <br />
According to US Air Force General Hawk Carlisle, the airmen from Hurlburt Field, Florida were the first to look and scan the selfie.<br />
 <br />
Carlisle described the terrorist as a "moron".<br />
 <br />
"The (airmen) were combing through social media and they see some moron standing at this command," Carlisle was quoted by reports as saying.<br />
 <br />
"The intelligence team, shortly bombed the site in Syria", he said.<br />
 <br />
"So they do some work, long story short, about 22 hours later through that very building, three JDAMS take that entire building out. Through social media. It was a post on social media. Bombs on target in 22 hours," Carlisle posted.<br />
 <br />
According to UN, Syria has been the epicentre of heavy conflict since March 2011, resulting in the death of 220,000 people.<br />
 <br />
US Deputy Secretary of State Antony Blinken said, "The US-led military campaign to eradicate Islamic State (IS) has killed more than 10,000 of its fighters in Iraq and Syria in last nine months."<br />
 <br />
The countries conducting airstrikes in coalition in Syria include US, Bahrain, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.</p>

<p>The hordes in high spirits from Spain and Italy blanketed the German capital on Saturday, many easily identifiable in their team colours.<br />

They were nevertheless united in their hopes that the Fifa scandal would go away - at least for the day.<br />
 <br />
"This is the best part of football - the fans and the players. We're here because we love the game," said Pasquale D'Andrea, a 23-year-old student from Foggia, Italy wearing a black and white Juve jersey.<br />
 <br />
"This isn't about money. The people at the top of Fifa only care about the money. They should get lost."<br />
 <br />
World soccer's governing body was plunged into the worst crisis in the organisation's 111-year history on May 27 when Swiss police staged a dawn raid in Zurich and arrested several officials on corruption charges filed by US prosecutors in New York.<br />
 <br />
Adrian Adell, a 25-year-old pharmacist proudly wearing Barcelona's blue and maroon colours in front of the stadium, said the Champions League final was the only thing that mattered on Saturday.<br />
 <br />
"Fifa is ruining football," he said. "It's a terrible thing when these people in power take advantage of the passions of the fans. But today the only thing that matters is the game."<br />
 <br />
Standing nearby in his Barca jersey was Ivan Tirade, a 37-year-old shopkeeper from Valencia getting in the mood for his fourth Champions League final.<br />
 <br />
"I don't care about the Fifa scandal today, maybe tomorrow," he said. "We're here to see a great match."<br />
 <br />
Francesca Lombardo, a 26-year-old office clerk from Glarus, Switzerland who said she's been a Juve fan "since I was born" thanks to Italian father, shared Tirade's view, saying she doesn't know or care much about the Fifa scandal.<br />
 <br />
"It's a big deal in Switzerland but I don't care. I only care about the game."<br />
 <br />
But Barca fan Omar Trevino, a 37-year-old manager at Airbus in Hamburg, defended outgoing Fifa president Sepp Blatter.<br />
 <br />
"He was actually really good at managing people. He had everything under control for a many years," he said. "I thought Fifa was well managed but we never knew what was behind it all."<br />
 <br />
Ralf Rodemayer, a technician from Zell am See in Austria, has been a Barca fan for 20 of his 26 years.<br />
 <br />
"It's time to celebrate soccer again and not moan about all that's wrong with Fifa," he said. "It's time to rally around the guys in the jerseys and not the jerks in their suits."</p>

<h5 class=" print-only">Bangladesh and India have pushed for stronger bilateral ties during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s historic Dhaka visit.</h5>

<p>A number of deals have been signed including one for exchanging enclaves, ending the contentious bilateral issue that has been lingering since 1974.</p>
<p>The neighbouring countries have also agreed for greater regional connectivity for the development of South Asia.</p>
<p>Bangladesh and India renewed bilateral trade agreement and a protocol on inland water transit and trade.</p>
<p>A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed for extending a $2 billion line of credit by India.</p>
<p>Other MoUs covered areas like blue economy and maritime cooperation in the Bay of Bengal and the Indian Ocean.</p>

<p>The unresolved Greek debt impasse, which is weighing on financial markets and could hit global economic recovery, will hang over a Group of Seven leaders' summit in Germany starting on Sunday.<br />
 <br />
A German spokesman said Tsipras was not invited to the G7 talks.<br />
 <br />
Greece postponed a payment due to the International Monetary Fund on Friday until the end of June, highlighting its precarious cash position and spooking markets, but giving itself a few more days to negotiate a deal linked to some future debt relief.<br />
 <br />
In a defiant speech to parliament on Friday, the leftist prime minister balanced indignation at what he called "a very bad negotiating trick" with confidence that a deal was "closer than ever before" to keep his country in the currency bloc.<br />
 <br />
An EU diplomat said Tsipras would fly to Brussels on Tuesday before a two-day EU-Latin America summit, and that would be an opportunity for political talks on a solution, while experts from Greece and the EU/IMF lenders work on detail in parallel technical negotiations.<br />
 <br />
By focusing anger on two of the lenders' key demands - the scrapping of an income supplement for the poorest pensioners and the hiking of value-added tax on electricity - Tsipras left open possible alternatives to those measures to clinch an agreement.<br />
 <br />
EU diplomats have said mid-June is the final deadline for a deal to secure ministerial approval and parliamentary backing for disbursement before Greece's 240 billion bailout expires at the end of the month.<br />
 <br />
The lenders added an incentive by raising the prospect of releasing an additional 10.9 billion euros in frozen funds originally earmarked for bank recapitalisation to tide Athens over a big repayment hump in July and August.<br />
 <br />
German Chancellor Angela Merkel tried to force a deal before she chairs an annual meeting of leaders of major industrial democracies at Schloss Elmau in Bavaria from Sunday.<br />
 <br />
She is keen to avoid it turning into another crisis summit on the euro zone that would showcase Europe's difficulties in resolving the problems of its single currency.<br />
 <br />
<strong>No lectures</strong><br />
 <br />
European officials said they did not want to be lectured on Greece by US President Barack Obama, but they expected Merkel, French President Francois Hollande, Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi and the presidents of the European Commission and the European Council, Jean-Claude Juncker and Donald Tusk, to discuss the way forward to a solution on the sidelines.<br />
 <br />
An Obama administration official briefing reporters ahead of the G7 said: "We're obviously encouraging all sides to continue to focus on finding a solution that’s going to allow Greece to chart a path to recovery."<br />
 <br />
Tsipras is under pressure to sign a deal this month while trying to placate hardliners in his Syriza party who oppose the terms creditors are demanding.<br />
 <br />
One far-left deputy minister suggested snap elections as a way out, by obtaining public legitimacy for difficult decisions to secure aid.<br />
 <br />
But two ministers said on Saturday they saw no case for an early poll and an opinion poll showed Greeks have little appetite for a return to the ballot box just five months after Tsipras won power on a radical leftist agenda to end austerity.<br />
 <br />
The poll by Metron Analysis for Parapolitica weekly showed only 35 percent of Greeks want the government to refuse to compromise with lenders, while 47 percent want it to reach a deal even if it means making concessions.<br />
 <br />
Some 73 percent saw no need for new elections to approve an eventual accord, compared with 22 percent who said a popular vote was necessary.<br />
 <br />
The survey also showed 79 percent want to remain in the euro zone, confirming previous poll findings.<br />
 <br />
The conciliatory public mood contrasted with anger among Syriza leftists at the lenders' proposal that crossed many of the government's "red lines", demanding tax hikes, privatising strategic state assets and refraining from any unilateral action to restore collective bargaining, as well as the pension cuts.<br />
 <br />
Tsipras called on the creditors to accept Greece's rival proposal that would reverse labour and pension reforms, calling it the only "realistic" proposal on the table.<br />
 <br />
"The Greek government cannot consent to absurd proposals," Tsipras told lawmakers.<br />
 <br />
He also refused to sign any deal that does not include the debt relief he has long demanded.<br />
 <br />
Greece wants to restructure its huge debt through a mix of cheaper refinancing, extending maturities, switching some loans into perpetual or GDP-linked bonds and a principal write-off, but the plans have no support in the euro zone.<br />
 <br />
On Thursday, Athens decided to bundle some 1.6 billion euros it was scheduled to pay the IMF in four instalments into a single payment at the end of June, skipping a 300 million euro payment due on Friday.<br />
 <br />
It was the first time in five years of crisis that Greece has postponed a repayment on its bailouts from euro zone governments, the European Central Bank and the IMF. The rare tactic does not constitute a default.</p>

<p>The two explosions, which Erdogan termed a "provocation" designed to undermine Sunday's election, tore through a rally of the pro-Kurdish Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) in Diyarbakir, largest city in Turkey's mainly Kurdish southeast.<br />

Ball bearings, nails and other metal parts from the device were gathered as evidence but no suspects have been identified, security sources told Reuters.<br />

Chanting "Murderer Erdogan", hundreds marched behind a banner declaring "peace despite everything" to the scene, where they laid red carnations, a witness said.<br />

Erdogan, the most popular politician in Turkey but accused by opponents of authoritarian tendencies, seeks a large majority for the ruling AK Party to furnish him with broader new powers.<br />

However, if the HDP clears a 10 percent hurdle to enter parliament that could thwart his ambitions.<br />

Hundreds joined a convoy of cars heading to a funeral for a 16-year-old boy. Onlookers made the victory sign and chanted "martyrs don't die" and "AKP you will pay for this".<br />

"If it weren't for Chairman Selahattin there would have been a lot of bloody and violent events yesterday," said retired 61-year-old Mehmet, referring to Friday's call for calm from HDP leader Selahattin Demirtas.<br />
 <br />
Demirtas has sought to extend support for the HDP beyond its Kurdish core with appeals to centre-left and secular opponents of Erdogan who has assumed an increasingly religious tone in recent months.<br />
 <br />
Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said "a dirty hand, a provocative hand" had targeted democracy itself.<br />

<strong>Terrifying crush</strong><br />

Witness Guy Martin, a British photographer, told Reuters the blasts occurred some five minutes apart - the first in a rubbish bin and the second in front of a power generator.<br />
 <br />
He saw one person who had lost a leg and others with shrapnel wounds.<br />
 <br />
"It was a heart-shaking, ribcage-shaking noise," he said. "The most terrifying thing is that crush of people."<br />
 <br />
Police fired water cannon and tear gas to disperse crowds after the blasts, witnesses said.<br />
 <br />
Nationalists clashed with HDP supporters at a Demirtas rally in the northern town of Erzurum.<br />
 <br />
Demirtas has said his party has been the target of more than 70 violent attacks during the campaign, including a double bombing in southern Turkish cities last month which wounded six.<br />
 <br />
He says the HDP will continue to promote peace talks between Kurdish rebels and the government whatever the election outcome.<br />
 <br />
Erdogan has accused the HDP of being a front for the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK), which took up arms in 1984 in an insurgency that has killed 40,000 people.<br />
 <br />
Jailed PKK leader Abdullah Ocalan and Ankara launched peace talks more than two years ago.<br />
 <br />
Twelve HDP supporters were detained in Istanbul in an operation targeting a PKK youth wing, an HDP spokesman said. Another nine were held in southeast Turkey's Bitlis province.</p>

<p>The Indian prime minister’s speech at ‘Shapla’ followed Sheikh Hasina’s, who said she held a very ‘fruitful’ bilateral talks with her counterpart.    </p>
<p>“We stand at a moment of huge opportunity in our relationship. Prime Minister Hasina and I recognise that.”</p>
<p>“Indian investments in Bangladesh will help. Will also try to make trade smoother and easier, including at the border.”</p>
<p>Modi arrived in Dhaka on Saturday morning a two-day state visit. Mamata Banerjee, Chief Minister of West Bengal, arrived a day ahead. </p>
<p>“We have resolved a question that has lingered since Independence. Our two nations have a settled boundary,” said Modi about the Land Boundary Agreement (LBA). </p>
<p>Documents of the ratification of the LBA were exchanged at noon on Saturday. </p>
<p>It will kick start the process of implementing the 41-year old deal, ending stateless lives of more than 50,000 people in 161 enclaves on both sides of the border.</p>
<p>Bangladesh and India shared an ‘interconnected destiny’, he said.  </p>
<p>“We are not just neighbours but nations bound by the threads of history, religion, culture, language and kinship and a passion four cricket!”</p>
