Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, her visiting Indian counterpart Narendra Modi, and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee have inaugurated Dhaka-Shillong-Guwahati and Kolkata-Dhaka-Agartala bus services.
They flagged off the bus services at Hasina’s office in Dhaka on Saturday
afternoon.
Modi arrived in Dhaka on a two-day maiden visit in the morning and Banerjee on Friday night.
The two prime ministers and the state chief minister got on the buses and inspected the services.
Banerjee and Hasina then greeted people by waiving flags from a dais.
The names of West Bengal Surface Transport Corporation, Tripura Road Transport Corporation
and Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation were exhibited at the time.
