Narendra Modi has held a discussion with West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee ahead of their meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The Indian prime minister and Banerjee then made their way to the Prime Minister’s Office after their meeting at Hotel Sonargaon.
It was unclear whether they discussed the Teesta treaty.
Both sides, however, have already announced that an agreement on sharing Teesta’s water cannot be achieved during this visit.
Modi arrived in Dhaka on a two-day state visit on Saturday morning, his first to Bangladesh after assuming power.
Banerjee came a day ahead of Modi. She was staying at separate hotel, at Dhaka’s Radisson Blu, amid speculations of their internal disagreements.
